New on Streaming Today, Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026: The Paper Season 2, Last Seen and Every Drop Time

| Title | Service | Format | When it opened (ET) |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Paper, season 2 | Peacock | All 10 episodes | 3 a.m. |
| Why Did I Get Married Again? | Netflix | Film | 3 a.m. |

Wednesday is Peacock's, and it is not close. Ten episodes of The Paper unlocked together at 3 a.m. ET — no weekly staggering, no held-back finale.
Domhnall Gleeson's Ned Sampson is back running the Toledo Truth Teller, this time chasing an investigative story about a local private club after the paper's awards run. Timing by zone, the episode list and the full cast sit on our Paper season 2 release-time page.
What else opened on Netflix today?
One title, but a loud one. Why Did I Get Married Again? is Tyler Perry's third film in the franchise, nineteen years after the first, and it went up worldwide on Wednesday.
Perry wrote and directed it and appears alongside Jill Scott, Richard T. Jones, Michael Jai White, Tasha Smith, Sharon Leal and Lamman Rucker, with Taraji P. Henson joining the group for a wedding set at Lake Como. Netflix's overnight window applies, so it was there at 3 a.m. ET — the same clock we break down in our drop-time guide.
The service's next real event is tomorrow. Crew Girl lands complete on Thursday, and we have the hour and the episode count in a separate release-time page.

What is new on Hulu and Disney+?
Made in Korea begins its second and final season with two episodes on both services. Hyun Bin's Baek Kitae has climbed inside the KCIA nine years on, and Jung Woosung's prosecutor is back in his way. Six episodes total, two a week, finishing Sept. 23.
Korean titles keep their own delivery schedule rather than the 3 a.m. window, so this one appears later in the morning. Hulu also closed out The Shards with its ninth episode, ending the first season.

Anything on Prime Video, Max or Paramount+?
Weekly business, no premieres. Reacher reached episode seven of eight, "Vote for Sampson" — the finale is Sept. 16. Amazon runs on a British clock, so it was up on Tuesday evening in the US, which catches people out every week.
Paramount+ added The Challenge season 42 episode 7, Average Joe, Diarra from Detroit and the new football show NFL Play Action. HBO Max had nothing new for a US audience today. Apple TV, which we do not chart with the six majors, opened the Australian thriller Last Seen with two of six episodes; the rest arrive Wednesdays through Oct. 7.
Where does today sit in the week?
Between two bigger days. Tuesday gave Netflix 19 episodes, and Thursday is the crowded one — Crew Girl, Mormon Wives season 5 and the last season of Colin From Accounts all at once.
The full seven-day map is in this week's rundown, and if you are deciding what to keep paying for, current plan prices and which shows drop weekly are the two pages to read.
