LEGO ONE PIECE on Netflix: Release Date, Episode Count and Full Voice Cast
LEGO ONE PIECE arrives on Netflix on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026.

Netflix's live-action One Piece is on hold until 2027, but the Straw Hats aren't gone from the app. On Sept. 29, Netflix drops a two-part animated special that retells the live-action show's first two seasons entirely in LEGO form — same voice cast, a much sillier framing device.

Short version — LEGO ONE PIECE's two specials land on Netflix on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, both at once. Each runs about 30 minutes. Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Taz Skylar and the rest of the live-action cast return to voice their LEGO counterparts, and the story is narrated by Usopp — unreliably.

What time does LEGO ONE PIECE come out on Netflix?

Netflix hasn't published a special time for this one, so it follows the usual pattern we track in our Netflix release times guide: new titles unlock at 12 a.m. Pacific, which is 3 a.m. Eastern.

Time zoneAvailable from
Eastern3 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29
Central2 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29
Mountain1 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29
ArizonaMidnight, Monday night into Tuesday
PacificMidnight, Monday night into Tuesday
Alaska11 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28
Hawaii9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28

How many episodes are there, and are they weekly?

Two specials, both released the same day — no weekly wait. Netflix and Comic Basics both list the runtime at roughly 30 minutes each, titled "Tall Tales from the East Blue" and "Grand Line, Grand Time." If you want to know why some Netflix shows drop everything at once while others roll out weekly, our weekly vs. binge releases guide breaks down the pattern.

What is LEGO ONE PIECE about?

It's a framing device, not a new story. Usopp recaps the Straw Hats' journey across the East Blue and into the Grand Line to Tony Tony Chopper — except Usopp is telling it, so he casts himself as the hero of nearly every moment. The result covers the same ground as live-action seasons 1 and 2, just retold as an exaggerated bedtime story, built in LEGO with the same production team as the live-action series, in partnership with the LEGO Group, Shueisha and Vancouver studio Atomic Cartoons.

Does this connect to One Piece season 3?

Only in spirit, for now. Netflix renewed the live-action series in August 2025, and season 3 — subtitled The Battle of Alabasta — was still filming as of this year, with a window no earlier than June 2027. Deadline's report on the season 3 title announcement also confirmed the LEGO special as a separate, shorter project to bridge the gap, not a preview of what's coming. If you're catching up before season 3 eventually arrives, this is the fastest way to replay seasons 1–2's plot in under an hour.

Where to watch LEGO ONE PIECE

Only on Netflix, on any plan including Standard with ads. Current plan prices are on our streaming plans and prices page. The rest of Tuesday's Netflix slate, including Mononoke The Movie: Chapter III and Murder in a Small Town, is in this week's streaming schedule, and the full Netflix release calendar is on the Netflix page.

For more live-action-to-Netflix schedules this fall, East of Eden premieres Thursday with all seven episodes at once, and Survivor 51 keeps its Wednesday CBS slot. Every title we time sits in the release times index.

👉 Two 30-minute specials, both up at 3 a.m. ET Tuesday — no weekly wait, and the same cast as the live-action show.
